Product Description
The Terraform Provider for Dell PowerFlex allows Data Center and IT administrators to use Hashicorp Terraform to automate and orchestrate the provisioning and management of Dell PowerFlex storage systems.

Enhancements
- Added support for configuring the PowerFlex provider using environment variables.
- Added Gen2 5.x attributes (
storage_node_id,device_group_id,erasure_coding_policy,protection_scheme,compression_method) to the Device and Storage Pool resources, with backward compatible deprecation ofsds_id/sds_name. - Added IP address validation for MDM IP list values.
- Added a migration guide for moving from PowerFlex 4.x to 5.x.
- Marked credential fields as sensitive across PowerFlex resource and data source schemas.
- Replaced insecure SSH host key handling with
known_hostsbased validation. - Fixed
powerflex_templateandpowerflex_nodedata sources to fall back to Bearer authentication on PFMP 5.1. - Fixed an issue where volumes not managed by Terraform were incorrectly unmapped from the SDC during a
terraform destroyof the SDC Volume Mapping resource.
Removal
Deprecations
sds_idandsds_nameon the Device resource are deprecated in favor ofstorage_node_idanddevice_group_idfor PowerFlex 5.x (Gen2) systems.
Known Issues

Limitations
- NVMe over TCP is supported in PowerFlex 4.0 and later versions, therefore
powerflex_nvme_host,powerflex_nvme_targetand SDT deployment using Cluster resource are not supported in PowerFlex 3.x. - Due to certain limitations, updating the NVMe host in PowerFlex versions earlier than 4.6 is not supported.
- Gen2 resources and data sources (
powerflex_storage_node,powerflex_device_group,powerflex_device_action,powerflex_storage_pool_erasure_coding,powerflex_volume_action) require PowerFlex 5.x and are not supported on earlier PowerFlex versions.
